CAMO AND FAUX-LEX'S

This one is just a quick post to soothe my holiday blues! So I'm going to Ibiza for two weeks at the beginning of September but I'm fed up of waiting! The weather here is so miserable so I thought I'd buy a few things to cheer me up and get me excited for holiday.. excuses, excuses.... I know.
My first purchase (and the one I'm most proud of) is my red swimsuit from American Apparel. I bought it in the sale for £15 an I've been looking for one like it for ages! It's a 'lil risqué and I don't think I could wear it just as a swimsuit but I'm working on that one.
My second purchase was my camo shirt from Urban Outfitters. I don't tend to shop in there but the 'urban renewal' men's shirt caught my eye in the window so I thought I'd pop in and try it on in my lunch break. I bought it for £22 (orig. price was £28 but I got some student discount hehe).
I paired these items with some denim shorts from Karen Millen (originally jeans), my usual gold chain and just some cheap 'hidden heel' wedges from River Island.
The last pic is of one of my presents my flat mates brought me back off their honeymoon. It was only a joke present but I love it!

Anyway,
Hope you liiiike,

LILAC HAIR

Just a quick post to show my latest experiment.
I've been inspired by Charlotte free's new pink/purple ombré locks but I wanted more of a less solid washed out look.
This is how I achieved it:

I mixed schwarzkopf's 'mystic violet xxl colour' with some shampoo and shook it well.
I then lathered the mixture into my hair a left for only a minute (my hair was very light blonde before so I didn't want it going bright purple!).
I rinsed and left my hair in a warm towel with some conditioner and rinsed again.
I styled my hair with some straighteners and my favourite product- Lee Stafford's 'salt spray'. It smells amazing too!

I'm pretty happy with the results- let me know if you like :)

Voila!

GIRLS IN BAGGY SHIRTS

I've always thought girls look cool in men's clothes...right? Well it's something I do regardless and this outfit is made up out of some men's garments I've adapted recently.
I'm wearing an ex military jacket that my housemate was going to throw out this summer. I really love this colour at the moment and I hate seeing clothes going to waste so I adapted the jacket to fit me. I nipped in the waist with some internal cord and I tightened the cuffs by adding an extra button. I live the outcome and it's so practical- especially in this unpredictable weather!
The shirt was my dads. I've trimmed off the arms to make a baggy shirt dress. It's so versatile and I love wearing it off the shoulder with a black bra or if the weathers a little hotter- tied up at the waist with a pair of khaki hot pants.
You can also see here one of my latest purchases- a new pair of denim stonewashed Superga shoes. I've fallen in love with this brand and I've been waiting 'til pay day to get my hands on my favourite pair (but I have my eyes on so many!). I really love the campaign Alexa did for them an I loved the picture of John and Yoko wearing Superga at their wedding!
I've also just dyed my hair lilac so I will be writing a post on that in the next few days. Watch this space :)
Anyway, hope you enjoy the shots!
